Eventually, Tabs come for us all.

  • If you’re one of those people who want loved ones to have something to remember you by, the good (but weird!) people at And Vinyly will take your cremated remains and press them into a vinyl record. What would your last song be?
  • As is his wont, Rick Goetz has a fabulous interview up with a club owner about how he goes about his business. Topics include: how the process of booking acts has been changed by the Internet, what kinds of attributes make bands attractive to venues (even, or especially, if the band is just starting out), and more.
  • Sennheiser’s Pick the Band, the “first fan-run record label,” is holding a competition that could get you and your band to CMJ. Details are here.
  • Anybody who’s in the market for new tube converters, pay attention: Yellow Jackets‘ YJR tube converter converts your 5U4, 5AR4 or 5Y3 tube to a solid state rectifier.
