Myron McKinley has been the musical director and keyboard player of the seminal Earth, Wind & Fire for more than eight years. With a strong musical background in jazz and hip hop, he creates seamless segues between hit songs during the band’s ninety minute continuous sets. Myron’s expertise in both music and technology have brought him together with other musicians as well, including Whitney Houston, Tupac Shakur, and Stevie Wonder. In this episode of Rehearsal Space, Myron talks about how technology has completely changed the music industry and how he uses Apple’s MainStage during live Earth, Wind & Fire performances. He goes on to discuss the experience of joining such a legendary and respected band at this point in his career.
