In this week’s musicians-bringing-lawsuits-against-current-or-former-Republican-candidates news, Don Henley of The Eagles scored a tentative win against California Senate candidate Chuck DeVore for appropriating two songs to use in his campaign: “All She Wants to Do Is Dance,” rewritten as “All She Wants To Do Is Tax,” and “The Boys of Summer,” which mocked Henley’s support of Obama. Last week, Devo Inc. announced via YouTube the results of the Devo Song Study, in which fans listened to 30-second snippets of 17 new Devo songs and determined which 12 will be included on Something For Everybody, the band’s first new album in 20 years .
